Lumineers Poster
DESIGN
My favorite band and my favorite venue. Bacuase of this I decided to make a poster of the better times when concerts still existed.
COLOR
If not obvious, I chose the colors I did because this event is at the red rock amphitheater, so I incorporated Red Rock into my design. And then turns out water is blue, as well as the sky, so that's why I chose those colors.
FONT
PHOTOSHOP
I hand drew a lot of the elements in this poster, but I assembled the whole thing in Photoshop. All the type and different layers were done in Photoshop.
For the title "The Lumineers" I used the font Superclarendon.
And for the supporting text type I used the font Orgovan.
REPETITION
For the most part, the only thing that repeats is the colors. I used a very small color palette for this poster so you'll find the same colors throughout to really tie it all together.
ALIGNMENT
This piece has a strong center focus and alignment. There's is a little asymmetry with the text, but they still lead to the center and direct the viewers eye to the center of the poster.
