The font featured is Acier BAT. I thought it was bold, easy to read, and worked perfectly for what I was going for.

Inspired by the example for exercise 7, I made an ad to go into a mall billboard to encourage spending!
PHOTOSHOP
BACKGROUND
Lots of actions within the Photoshop platform were used to create this ad. I used multiple selection techniques to remove the woman from her original image and place her in front of confetti. I also altered the confetti background to be less vibrant and saturated so the woman stood out better.

ALIGNMENT: For this ad I used center alignment. I feel like this alignment works best for this piece. It draws focus to the words, is straight to the point, and easy to follow.
CONTRAST: I think the bright red banner has a good contrast against the light blue background. It quickly catches the eye and makes it easy to read.
COLOR: I tried to create a playful and exciting look using many colors. I liked the idea of the rainbow confetti because it adds excitement and makes if funner for the viewer to look at. The red was a decision used in the name of contrast which I think helps tie the whole thing together.

DESIGN
REPETITION: I used repetition quite a bit in this graphic with the intention of creating a more cohesive and successful advertisement. I have a well saturated red used for the banner, the handbag, and it's also found in the confetti in the background.

With this submission I thought the banner along the top was off, but I didn't know what I didn't like about it. When revising it I lowered the opacity of the white shape so the confetti showed through. I think this gives the whole piece a better flow to it and it works better now. I also lowered the girl so she wasn't so close to the arch above her.
